North Eastern Sportshall Athletics Finals
On 21st November 2009 5 children from Years 5 & 6 were selected to compete at The Seaburn Centre in Sunderland. They were participating in the North Eastern Sportshall Athletics Finals, representing Tyne and Wear County – a fantastic achievement.
The children competed in various athletics challenges including sprint events, hurdles, jumps, throws and agility tests where they would be given points relating to the position in which they finished.
The BOYS and GIRLS teams from Tyne and Wear finished in FIRST and SECOND place!
Joel Jackson smashed the NORTH EASTERN SPORTSHALL MEETING RECORD with his Chest Push performance of 8.50m – bettering the old mark of 7.50m!!!
