Regional Fun in Athletics Sportshall Finals
On 24th October 2009 6 children from Years 5 & 6 were selected to compete at The Seaburn Centre in Sunderland. They were participating in the Regional Sportshall Athletics Finals, representing South Tyneside – a great achievement.
The children competed in various athletics challenges including sprint events, hurdles, jumps, throws and agility tests where they would be given points relating to the position in which they finished.
The BOYS team, managed by Mr Rogers WON the competition, with the GIRLS team, managed by Andrea Fyall finishing in SECOND place!
